by Nick Hollinghurst on February 4, 2013

Theatre2Tring Mayor Nick, was one of 20 Mayors and Deputy Mayors from around Hertfordshire who attended a gala performance of Rodgers & Hart’s “Babes in Arms” at the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts.

The performance was to raise money for the Mayor of Dacorum’s charity for the year – Iain Rennie Grove House Hospices.
Together with the civic representatives an invited audience filled the Tring Park School’s Markova Theatre.

Everyone was delighted by the energy, ability and skill of the young people  from a variety of nations and backgrounds  united by the outstanding talent they all displayed.

The performance was once again a credit to the students and, thanks to the school’s generosity in hosting the event, a significant sum was raised for the hospices.

Prior to the evening’s entertainment, the distinguished guests were served supper in the Tring Mansion which forms the principal building of the school. They were then further treated to a personal tour of the ground floor rooms conducted by Dr Stefan Anderson the school’s Principal.

Tring Mayor Nick is pictured with Cllr Mrs Pat Strack Mayor of Hertsmere and a throng of guests at the interval.
