Packed Service in Tring Parish Church Precedes Equally Well Attended Rememberance Day Parade

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Tring were among the congregation in the packed St Peter & St Paul Parish Church. The Scouts and Guides were present, together with a number of representatives from the Armed Services and young people from Tring Park School participated with readings. The service was conducted by the Rev Huw Bellis.

Following the service the people, civic representatives, service personnel, ATC, representatives from the British Legion and ex-servicemen’s organisations, the public services and other bodies proceeded to the parade at the War Memorial on Church Square. Prayers were led by Rev Huw Bellis and, starting with the Town Mayor, wreathes were laid on the memorial under a clear blue sky and a light wind.
